1.1. Reading Tip

  • In this document, individual arms, robotic arms, etc., are abbreviations for the humanoid robotic arm ART3-R7.

  • Before using the robotic arm, please carefully read the user manual.

  • Do not disassemble or assemble the robotic arm without authorization.

  • Please note the safety warnings mentioned in the user guide.

  • If the robotic arm has any abnormal issues, please contact our company in a timely manner.

  • When using the robotic arm, if you smell an unusual odor, stop immediately.

  • The user guide cannot replace the technical specifications.

1.2. Product Usage Instructions

The human-like robotic arm ART3-R7 can achieve human-robot collaborative operations and can work with humans in an environment without protective barriers. It should be particularly noted that the term “collaborative operations” here has clear preconditions: in addition to the robotic arm itself, tools, workpieces, equipment, obstacles, and other robots involved must undergo comprehensive risk assessments for specific application scenarios and be verified to ensure there are no significant safety hazards.

Any application that deviates from the intended use is not allowed, including but not limited to:

  • Used in environments filled with dust, dust particles, metal powder, corrosive gases, flammable gases, oil mist, etc., which are explosive hazardous.

  • Applied in scenarios related to life.

  • Used without hazardous evaluation and risk assessment, and used with unqualified risk assessment.

  • An operation outside the allowed parameters.

  • Use in extreme environments (extreme climate, cold storage, strong magnetic fields, etc.).

1.3. Disclaimer

Robotic arms are typically a core component of an integrated application system, and need to work collaboratively with other devices and software to achieve specific application functions. Integrators should design and build the system application framework according to local laws and regulations and relevant technical standards, fully identify potential hazard factors, and reduce their impact to an acceptable level.

The process should follow and not be limited to the following principles:

  • Conduct a risk assessment for the complete robot system.

  • Connect other machinery and additional safety devices as defined by the risk assessment.

  • Establish appropriate security settings in the software.

  • Ensure that users do not modify any security measures.

  • Confirm that the design and installation of the entire robot system are accurate and error-free.

  • Clear usage instructions.

  • Mark the integrator’s relevant logo and contact information on the robotic arm.

  • Collect all documents in the technical documentation, including this manual.

1.4. Warranty

All factory equipment and optional components have undergone strict quality testing and performance verification to ensure they meet the company’s standards.

During the warranty period of the product, our company will only provide free repair for failures occurring under normal use. However, in the following cases, repair fees will be charged to the customer (even during the warranty period):

  • Damage or failure caused by incorrect use or improper use not specified in this user manual.

  • Failure caused by the customer’s unauthorized disassembly.

  • Damage caused by improper adjustment or unauthorized repairs.

  • Damage caused by natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods.

1.5. Danger, Warning, Caution Use

  • Any application beyond the usage conditions and product specifications outlined in this book will immediately void the warranty rights of the relevant products.

  • We will not assume any legal liability for any failure, accident, including but not limited to personal injury or death, caused by not following the “Danger” and “Warning” notices in this book. We apologize for any inconvenience.

  • Our company cannot foresee all possible dangerous situations, and the contents of this user manual should not be considered as a warning for all potential risks; users are required to exercise their own caution.

Instructions:

  • Before operating the robotic arm, you must carefully read and fully understand all safety precautions. Operating without understanding and complying with the relevant procedures may result in personnel injury or equipment damage.

  • Do not enter the work area while the robot arm is moving. Even if it appears the robot arm has stopped, it may suddenly move again, causing injury to personnel and damage to equipment.

  • Before operating the robotic arm system, confirm that there is no one in the working area of the robotic arm.

  • The robotic arm can operate at a low speed to ensure safety, but unexpected movements may still cause injury to personnel and damage to the equipment.

  • During the movement of the robotic arm, if any abnormal movement of the robotic arm is detected, please stop the robotic arm immediately. Continuing operation in an abnormal state may cause injury to personnel and damage to the equipment.

  • When manually loading and unloading, the robotic arm must be powered off to prevent accidental startup and ensure personnel safety.

  • The customer’s unauthorized modification of the robotic arm is not covered by our warranty. If any personal injury or equipment damage occurs, we will not be held responsible.

  • Contact our company to repair the robotic arm.
